The American Legion Auxiliary - Post 176
The American Legion Auxiliary was founded during the National Convention of the American Legion in 1909. The Auxiliary is the world’s largest patriot service organization made of up members of all walks of life. The vision of The American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion while becoming the premier service organization and foundation of every community providing support for our veterans, military, and their families by shaping a positive future in an atmosphere of fellowship, patriotism, peace, and security.
The Auxiliary Unit 176 has participated in various activities with the Legion: Honor Flights, donations to Veterans Hospitals, Flag Retirement, Poppy Distribution, and providing food and clothing to veteran families. Also runnning several programs such as:
- Girls State
- Americanism
- VA & R
- Children & Youth
- Community Service.
